A new book using spiral elements I made over the summer. Covers are quilted cyanotype photograms of cords and wire. Inner covers are abaca and flax with embedded pebbles, toned with indigo and walnut. Inside panels are flax squares---watermarked, dyed, and waxed, then sewn as a grid onto kozo paper from an old PBI class. Cherry frames. About 15x18 inches. I tore apart and repurposed another piece for some of these components. My threshold for recycling unsuccessful art has become much lower as I get older.
