Dad2020

Another strap-bound book object in my medical series-- a belated father's day book. My father was a tropical medicine specialist with time in far east in 40's and 50's. He left the army, but the army never left him, so home life was not easy-going. All conversations somehow got around to rickettsial disease, and I caught typhus fever in his lab.at a young age. The preserved photos are typical of family slide shows when he came back from a field trip. Slides of parasites, field medical kit, army stuff. I needed to package up materials I have about him to pass on to my kids, and to give me, and he would have been some closure. Dad would have been right at home now. Infectious disease was his passion, and he would have been appalled by how badly America is handling this (especially his beloved Texas)
